Five fractions from dimer to hexamer were separated by a linear gradient solution of HCl on a cation-exchange resin. WebChitobiose and chitotriose have proved to be more potent than three reference compounds (aminoguanidine, pyridoxamine, and Trolox) in scavenging hydroxyl radicals while glucosamine and the corresponding N-acetylchito-oligosaccharides did not show any capacity.
